Police searching for Hastings armed robbery suspects

SPOKANE, Wash. - Spokane Police are looking for two suspects who robbed the Hastings book and electronic store at 29th Ave. and Southeast Blvd Saturday afternoon.  Police say the suspects displayed a knife and made off with an undisclosed amount of merchandise from the store.

After the robbery was reported an officer spotted a vehicle matching the description of the suspects getaway vehicle near 5th Ave. and Freya St.  When the officer attempted to pull the vehicle over the suspects drove the car down an alley and three individuals got out of the car and took off on foot.  Police were able to detain one individual who they say is a suspect in the robbery.  Police were able to recover all the stolen property from the robbery.

Police searched the surrounding area but were unable to locate the other two suspects.  They say they have an idea who the suspects are, but they have not made a positive identification. Police at the scene had a limited description of the suspects, but said they're looking for a black male, 5'6", wearing a blue hoodie and white male wearing a blue shirt and blue baseball cap.

Anyone with any information about the robbery is encouraged to call Crime Check  (509) 456-2233.
