Former Gonzaga player arrested in Arizona

Former Gonzaga women's basketball player Reanna Jewell was arrested in Arizona after allegedly having an inappropriate relationship with a 16-year-old girl.

Jewell was charged with two counts of Sexual Conduct with a Minor and Luring a Minor for Sexual Exploitation.  Investigators in Apache Junction say the inappropriate contact began in December and lasted for approximately three months.  It allegedly took place both at the school where Jewell was employed, as well as Jewell's home.

The 25-year-old former Gonzaga player was hired to coach freshman girls' basketball and softball at Apache Junction High School in September of last year.  She resigned on March 20 of this year.

Jewell is being held a $750,000 bond.
