Tell us: What should the City of Spokane make a priority?

Posted: Updated:

Thursday, the Spokane Transit Authority rejected a contract to replace some of the bus benches around the city after they were ordered to be removed because they violate the city's sign regulations.

That decision means riders may have no place to sit unless Spokane Mayor Mary Verner reverses her order to advertising companies to remove their 250 bus benches within city limits by May 25.

KHQ wants to know what you think about the City's attention to this issue. Should City officials be focusing on other issues? What do you think the City's priorities should be? Tonight, from 5 - 6:30 p.m., Bill McGinty will be hosting a live blog to discuss your opinions. Simply log on at 5 p.m. to participate in the conversation. You can set up an e-mail reminder that will notify you when the blog begins by clicking here.

In the meantime, you can leave your thoughts about the removal of bus benches by heading to KHQ.com and commenting on the story STA board won't replace bus benches.
