Three suspects sought in motel armed robbery

SPOKANE, Wash. - A cash reward is being offered for information that solves an early morning armed robbery at a motel in which the suspects got away with two registers and a safe.

Thursday morning around 2:15 a.m., three men approached the locked office door at the Motel 6 in the 1500 block of S. Rustle and hurled a rock to break out the glass.

When they were unable to shoulder the damaged door open, one of them jumped through the broken glass and forced the motel employee into a back room.

One of the suspects was armed with a kitchen knife and brandished it at the employee while the others took cash from two registers and a safe.  A manager in another room was awakened by the noise and saw the three suspects escaping in a light-colored Honda.

All three suspects were wearing black-hooded sweatshirts and had something over their faces.  They each wore dark gloves and blue jeans.  All three were described as about 5'11" and 150 to 160 pounds.

Anyone with information about this armed robbery is asked to call the Crime Stoppers Tip Line at 509-327-5111, or to post the tip at www.crimestoppersinlandnorthwest.org.
