Tigers Bust out the Offense, Trounce Mariners 8-2

SEATTLE, Wash. -- The Seattle Mariners dropped the last game of their three-game set with the Detroit Tigers on Sunday, losing 8-2. Carlos Silva gave up four runs on six hits in five innings to drop his overall record to 0-2. 

Ramon Santiago was the story of the day for Detroit, going 2-3 with 5 RBI's on the day and starting pitcher Rick Porcello went seven strong, giving up just one earned run.

The Mariners will have the day off on Monday, before playing host to the defending American League Champion Tampa Bay Rays, for a three-game set at Safeco starting Tuesday at 7:10 p.m.
