BBQ Recipes your kids will enjoy

Grilled Bananas

  • Bananas
  • Semi-sweet chocolate chips
  • Mini marshmallows

To Prepare:

  1. Remove the bananas stem, but leave the peel attached.
  2. Slice the peel of the lengthwise and open it just enough to place the chocolate chips and mini marshmallows inside on top of the banana.
  3. Wrap each banana in a greased tin foil sheet
  4. Roast bananas on a grill over the campfire or barbecue for approximately 2 minutes, or just enough to melt chocolate and the marshmallows.
  5. Unwrap your banana and remove the peel.
  6. Eat as is with a spoon or top with ice cream to make a sundae.

Salsa Burgers

  • 1 1/2 pounds of ground beef
  • Salt & pepper to taste
  • 4 tablespoons of salsa (mild, medium or hot)
  • Finely chopped jalapeno peppers
  • Diced onions
  • 4 cheese slices
  • 4 hamburger buns

To Mix:

  1. Preheat your grill
  2. While the grill heats, mix the ground beef, salt, and pepper, jalapenos, onions and salsa in a mixing bowl with your hands.
  3. Shape mixture into patties no thicker than 3/4-inches.
  4. Grill hamburger patties over an oiled grill for 5 to 7 minutes, or to your desired doneness.
  5. Place a cheese slice on each cooked patty and heat until melted.
  6. Serve with desired condiments.

(AP) - A driver could be facing a $10,000 bill after he plowed into newly poured concrete in Lincoln, Nebraska, and became stuck.      The accident occurred Wednesday on a portion of a road repair project in the state capital. Police spokeswoman Angela Sands said Friday that police won't cite the driver, 19-year-old Shadrach Yasiah. A police incident report says it wasn't obvious that the concrete wasn't dry and that Yasiah
