SPOKANE, Wash. - The federal Centers for Disease Control and Prevention and state health officials have confirmed 50 additional cases of swine flu in Washington, bringing the total to 83.
The state Department of Health released the new CDC and state results Friday afternoon.
Since Thursday's update, 31 new cases were confirmed in King County, 10 in Snohomish County, three in Pierce County and one in Spokane County. Clark County has its first two confirmed cases.
There is one confirmed case in each of three other counties: Thurston, Skagit and Whatcom.
King County now has a total of 56 confirmed cases, Snohomish County has 16, Pierce has four, Clark and Spokane counties each have two. Whatcom, Skagit and Thurston each has one. State health officials also added 23 new probable cases on Friday.
