Authorities seeking help identifying North Spokane robbery suspect

SPOKANE, Wash. - Sheriff's detectives are seeking your help to identify the suspect who attempted to hold up a North Spokane County pharmacy last week, but then changed his mind and walked out of the store empty-handed.

The suspect entered the Walgreen's Drug Store at 7905 N. Division about 8 p.m. May 13 and handed an employee a note demanding drugs. The employee asked the man if he really wanted to go through with the robbery, whereupon the suspect wadded up the note and walked out of the store.

The suspect was described as a white male 20 to 30 years old, 5'08" and 175 pounds. He wore a dark hooded jacket, blue jeans and had black shoes. The man spoke with a Russian or East European accent and had a star or cross tattooed on his left cheek beneath his eye.

Anyone with information regarding the identity of this would-be robber is asked to call Crime Check at 456-2233.
