Warmer temps through holiday weekend

Posted: Updated:

SPOKANE, Wash. - It's nice outside and it is going to stay that way for awhile. High pressure is slowly building over the western United States with the result being a long stretch of sunny weather and warmer temperatures. Highs will be back above normal on Friday, ranging from the low 70s around the Spokane and Coeur d'Alene areas to the low 80s over the Lower Columbia Basin.

For the weekend all systems are go for any camping trips or picnics that are on the schedule this "unofficial first weekend of summer." Sunny days will continue right through Monday, and beyond for that matter. Temperatures will continue to warm a few degrees each and every day, with highs in the 80s to low 90s by Monday, Memorial Day.

Precipitation looks like a non-issue at least until the latter part of next week.
