Witness reports she saw someone run from suspicious fire
SPOKANE, Wash. - The Spokane Fire Department is investigating a suspicious fire at a west central Spokane substance abuse treatment center.
The fire broke out at New Horizons Counseling Services at 1708 W. Mission Avenue at about 12:15 a.m. Monday. When fire crews responded to the scene the fire had spread to the outside and was visible to the first arriving fire units.
KHQ spoke to a witness who said that she saw someone running from the building after the fire broke out.
The Spokane Fire Department has called out an investigator to begin working to determine the cause of the fire. No one was injured and according to firefighters, the building sustained only minor damage.
