Police searching for knife-wielding robber

SPOKANE - Spokane Police are asking for the public's assistance finding a knife wielding robbery suspect. Police say about 8 p.m. Tuesday, Spokane Police responded to Northtown Mall to investigate a reported robbery at the Kohl's store.

The suspect entered the store and attempted to shoplift clothing from the store. When the suspect was contacted by store security, he pulled a knife and swung it at a security officer in an attempt to retain the stolen merchandise. The suspect fled the mall on foot and was last seen southbound across Wellesley Ave.

No one was injured.  Surveillance cameras captured the incident, and the suspect can be clearly seen in the video footage.

He is described as a white male, 25-30 years of age, 5'08" and 150lbs.  He has dark brown hair, and a dark brown goatee.  He was last seen wearing a black baseball cap, red t-shirt, and blue jeans.

If anyone has information on the identity and/or location of the robbery suspect please notify Spokane Police crime Check at 456-2233.
