Reward offered in drive-by shooting

Posted: Updated:

SPOKANE, Wash. - A reward is being offered for information in an August 20 drive-by shooting that left one man with a gunshot wound to his stomach.

Police say a group of people was hanging out in front of a home near W. Maxwell and N. Belt when a white SUV pulled up around 2 a.m. and a passenger asked about a party.

One of the men in front of the home yelled that there was no party and the SUV drove away.

About 15 to 20 minutes later, the SUV returned with the front seat passenger window partially rolled down. The front passenger extended his arm out and fired a handgun several times into the air and then into the group in front of the home, hitting the 23-year-old man in his stomach.

The SUV continued on and turned northbound on Belt. Some witnesses put the number of occupants inside the SUV at two, others at four.

The vehicle is described as a white sport utility vehicle and variously described as a 1994 to 1998 four-door Yukon, Suburban or Expedition.

Anyone with information regarding the shooting is asked to call the Crime Stoppers Tip Line at 509-327-5111.
