COEUR D'ALENE, Idaho. - A 23-year-old who needs his motorized wheelchair for mobility is without that wheelchair after it disappeared from outside a Coeur d'Alene Goodwill Tuesday morning.

Christopher Sollenberger is disabled and though he can walk very short distances, needs the wheelchair for full mobility.

Sollenberger works two days a week at the Goodwill in the 1200 block of N. 4th St. and a rides a bus to work where his mom drops off the $5,000 wheelchair for him, which she has been doing for months.

Early Tuesday morning, Sollenberger's mom left the wheelchair outside of the Goodwill in the back and behind a truck where it is out of view from the street.

When Sollenberger arrived to work, the wheelchair was not where it was normally left.

Goodwill employees say they got to the building nearly an hour after Sollenberger's mom dropped off the wheelchair and it was not there.

According to a police report, the theft occurred between 6:30 a.m. an 7:20 a.m.

The chair, which weighs 275 pounds, is red and has three bright yellow brackets used to attach it to a car.
