WHATCOM COUNTY, Wash. - A Custer man was ordered held on $1 million bail Monday for investigation of second-degree murder and felony assault as a probe continues into the death of his infant son.

According to court documents, the Whatcom County medical examiner found that 2-month-old Jon "Cecil" Anthony Frazier suffered a broken femur and massive blunt force trauma to his head.

Whatcom County prosecutors allege that the father, 42-year-old Jonathon V. Frazier, left the baby's body in some woods. They say Frazier has offered varying accounts of what happened, after initially claiming the infant had mysteriously vanished while the father slept.

The baby's body was found Sunday and he was initially reported missing on Friday.

The boy's 26-year-old mother, Brooke K. Johnson, was jailed Thursday on a robbery conviction.
