SPOKANE, Wash. - A Spokane man is under arrest and facing charges of possession and distribution of child pornography after police say he solicited sex from an undercover officer across the country.

Police in New Hampshire conducted an undercover operation this summer and notified Spokane authorities in July that Michael Craig McGuire contacted their officer who was posing as a 14-year-old boy.

Detectives say McGuire sent the undercover detective images of child pornography.

Police served a search warrant at McGuire's home and arrested the 55-year-old Tuesday morning. Police said several children were found in the man's home. Authorities were working to determine what relation, if any, they have to the suspect.

Detectives said they expect to find up to 1,000 images of child pornography on the man's computer after their initial interview with the suspect this morning.
