    SPOKANE, Wash. - The Spokane County Sheriff's Office is searching for two suspects after they attempted to steal an ATM from a Shell gas station in the in 9900 block of  N. Wall.>>
    SPOKANE, Wash. - The Spokane County Sheriff's Office is searching for two suspects after they attempted to steal an ATM from a Shell gas station in the in 9900 block of  N. Wall. Deputies say the pair backed an SUV into the front doors of the station and once the glass doors shattered, they attached a chain to the ATM. Using the SUV, the suspects tried twice to yank out the ATM, but were not successful. Empty handed, the suspects unhooked the chain and left. >>

SPOKANE, Wash. - Surveillance video from Wednesday's attempted ATM heist shows a white SUV breaking the doors of a shell gas station before a masked suspect runs inside to attach a chain to the ATM.

The suspect then exits the store and unsuccessfully attempts to pull the ATM out using the SUV before fleeing empty handed.

Deputies are still searching for two suspects in the attempted theft that occurred at the Shell gas station in the in 9900 block of  N. Wall.

A passing driver saw the suspects leaving, noticed the damage to the Shell station and called authorities.

That driver described the suspect vehicle as an Infinity brand SUV with new 'Wendell at the Y' license plates.

The owner of the gas station said the suspects caused around $15,000 in damage to his store in their attempts to take the ATM. 

Anyone with information is asked to 911 immediately.
