SPOKANE, Wash. - Two Quiznos restaurants were robbed at gunpoint Saturday evening.  The suspect entered the Quiznos at 1605 N. Division at 7:40 P.M.   He pointed a silver colored handgun at an employee and demanded money from the cash register.  >>

SPOKANE, Wash. - According to the owner of a North Spokane Quiznos, an employee working during an attempted robbery Saturday night thought the gunman's pistol was fake and continued on with his nightly routine, completely unresponsive to the masked man.

The robbery, at the Quiznos located at 1605 N. Division, occurred just after 7:30 Saturday night.

The suspect walked into the store as the employees inside were getting the restaurant ready for closure.

The suspect, wearing a hoodie and whose face was covered by a bandana, walked up to the register and pointed a silver pistol at an employee who was sweeping behind the counter.

In surveillance video released Monday, the employee, Luis, appears to have no reaction to the man's demand for cash and does nothing more than go back to sweeping.

Unsuccessful in his robbery attempt, the suspect left empty-handed, only to head to another Quiznos - at 6125 N. Division - where he was able to get away with more than $1,000 after forcing employees there to the floor at gunpoint.

The suspect is described as a white male, between 5'7" and 6' with a thin build.

Anyone with information is asked to call Crime Check at 456-2233.

SPOKANE, Wash. - It's been an incredibly difficult couple of months for Kaley Hilderbrand and her family. "We're in the middle of moving from an apartment to a house," Hilderbrand said.  It's not something the mom of a brand new baby girl though she would be doing. Back in April, the soon-to-be-married mother of three was living in a north Spokane apartment complex when she received an angry letter about doing laundry at night.
