POST FALLS, Idaho. - A Rathdrum woman accused of stealing at least $450,000 from the Post Falls Family Medicine Practice was arrested Monday on multiple charges including Grand Theft and Forgery.

On October 5, Post Falls Family Medicine discovered that their bank account assets were diminished; embezzled by their office manager and long time employee, 36-year-old Yolanda Williams.

Fraudulent withdrawals were tracked as far back as July 2003. As much as $451,000 appears to have been stolen over a period of six-years, according to the management staff at the practice.

The doctors were made aware of the thefts when their bank notified them of suspicious activity involving the Post Falls Family Medicine's bank account.

Upon examination of the bank records, they found that money was being transferred on-line, directly to Yolanda Williams' personal accounts.

Additionally, unauthorized checks were stolen, forged and deposited into Williams' personal accounts. The bookkeeping records were then altered to show that payments to various vendors were made, yet they were not sent. Instead, the funds were transferred to Williams' account.

Williams was questioned by Post Falls Police Detectives and confessed to the embezzlement.

SPOKANE, Wash. - From the outside, the Repeat Boutique looks like a lot of other thrift shops in Spokane.  Inside, some might describe the stuff for sale as old, used, discarded garbage -- but store manager CJ Curtis sees its potential. And just like the goods in her shop, CJ is on her way to a new life, one far from the one she once lived.
