Police locate missing woman near Nine Mile Dam

SPOKANE, Wash. - Sunday morning the Spokane Police Department located a woman who was reported to have gone missing for 15 hours.  Toni Sneva was found by police around 4:00 a.m. on a walking trail in the Nine Mile Dam area suffering from a broken ankle.

Sneva left home around 1:00 p.m. Saturday and was expected to meet up with her friends at 7:00 p.m., but she never arrived.  Officers located her vehicle at the Nine Mile Dam.

Her vehicle was frosted and appeared to have been there for several hours.  Officers searched the surrounding area and were concerned that she might have gotten lost or injured.

Lowered temperature raised officers' concerns for her safety.  The Spokane County Sheriff's Officer Helicopter was also called out to assist.
