Man beaten, robbed in Spokane Valley

SPOKANE VALLEY, Wash. - Police are searching for two suspects after a 26-year-old Coeur d'Alene man told police he was beaten and robbed by two men while walking on Sprague Monday evening.

The man told police that he felt something tug on his backpack and when he turned around, he was hit in the eye and started trying to defend himself, but was hit several more times and fell to the ground.

He was able to hang onto his backpack, but one of the two suspects pulled his wallet from his pants and took all of his cash.

He had short dark hair and a thin mustache and two teardrops tattooed under his left eye and a scar on his right cheek. He was wearing a "poofy" black jacket, dark blue running pants with white vertical stripes, and dark Avia-brand running shoes.

The second suspect is described only as a male about 5'08" with a thin build, also said to be wearing a black jacket.
