    CURLEW, Wash. - Two children missing after an early morning apartment fire in Curlew are presumed dead, according to the Ferry County Sheriff's Office.>>
    CURLEW, Wash. - Two children missing after an early morning apartment fire in Curlew are presumed dead, according to the Ferry County Sheriff's Office. The fire, which broke out around 1 a.m., destroyed the apartment complex in which 23 units were occupied. Officials with Ferry County in conjunction with the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco and Firearms are working to determine a cause for the fire.>>

CURLEW, Wash. - Fire crews returned to a Curlew apartment complex Wednesday morning to begin recovery efforts for three missing people after a fire destroyed the complex Tuesday.

The fire broke out around 1 a.m. Tuesday and completely destroyed the school house that had been converted to apartments.

Fire officials worked Wednesday to locate three missing people, including two believed to be children. The three people are presumed dead.  

The Ferry County Sheriff's office said Wednesday that investigators found what appears to be bones at the scene, though they are not sure whether the bones are those of any of the three missing people, or if they are even human bones.

It was earlier reported that only two people, the children, were missing.

Until it is confirmed that the bones are human or animal, no further information will be released.

Other than the missing children, two other people were injured in the blaze. One person was taken to Seattle with severe burns and another was taken to an area hospital to be treated.

A tenant said one woman was on fire when she jumped from a window.

Officials with Ferry County in conjunction with the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco and Firearms are working to determine a cause for the fire and the process may take several weeks.

    BRANSON - Authorities say divers have found two more bodies after a duck boat carrying tourists capsized in southwest Missouri, bringing the death toll to 13.Missouri State Highway Patrol Sgt. Jason Pace says four others remain missing Friday after the accident on Table Rock Lake in Branson Thursday evening. He says 14 others survived, but that seven were injured.

Court documents say a Hayden man was charged with battery and malicious harassment, which is considered a hate crime in Idaho, following an investigation by police.  When officers arrived on scene, the fight had broken up, but witnesses were interviewed at the scene.
