BELLEVUE, Wash. - The view is what Nick Bean loved the most about his Bellevue, Washington office which is perched across the street from Crossroads Park and less than a mile from his house. That was, until a new neighbor moved in. "This is a family oriented neighborhood," said Bean, "This stand just doesn't fit." Bean is talking about the new "Knotty Bodies" espresso stand that sits in between the park, a daycare center and a residential neighborhood.>>

YAKIMA, Wash. - The Yakima City Council voted to start drafting rules to regulate bikini espresso stands as adult entertainment.

The rules would be based on ones adopted in Snohomish County to control so-called "sexpresso" stands.

Police have reported pole dancing and $5 booty shakes at some of the four coffee stands in Yakima.

The Yakima Herald-Republic reports Tuesday's council vote was 4-3 to direct city lawyers to draft the regulations.

Yakima barista faces indecent exposure charges

Some espresso stands are known for their coffee and some, like many in Yakima, are known for their baristas and the outfits they wear.

Police say 'Dream Girls' barista Alyssa Hernandez crossed the line, wearing an exposed thong to work.

Hernandez covered up in court Friday morning where she faced indecent exposure charges. Her boss says authorities are over-reacting.

"We are shocked that Yakima Police have chosen to focus on this issue instead of more important issues in the community," said Dream Girls owner, Cheryl Clark.

While the baristas are shocked, many community members aren't. The controversy comes down to what you can see inside of your car. While the owner says you can't see much, some people say you see too much.

"A g-string, pasties and a fishnet body suit," said a Yakima Resident.

'Dream Girls' isn't alone and some residents say all the so-called "bikini barista stands" are out of line. >>More
