Armed robber cleans out movie theater's safe
SPOKANE, Wash. - The Spokane County Sheriff's office is investigating an armed robbery at the Village Centre Cinemas on N. Division.
Deputies say the suspect walked in to the theater around 12:30 p.m. and went straight to a bathroom where he stayed for a few minutes before coming out with a gun drawn.
He forced two employees into the business office where he proceeded to clean out the safe.
It is unknown how much money he got away with.
Deputies say he left the theaters on foot and headed north.
