    LONG BEACH, Wash. - A 45-year-old man has been arrested in connection with the shooting of a Washington State Patrol Trooper over the weekend.>>
    LONG BEACH, Wash. - A 45-year-old man has been arrested in connection with the shooting of a Washington State Patrol Trooper over the weekend. Martin Jones, of Seaview, was arrested in Long Beach overnight and booked in Pacific County Jail in South Bend on attempted murder and assault charges in the shooting of Trooper Scott Johnson. Johnson was shot early Saturday morning while taking inventory on a car that was about to be towed.>>

LONG BEACH, Wash. - The man accused of shooting a Washington State Patrol trooper in Long Beach is the husband of a woman whose car was being towed after a drunken driving stop.
     
Trooper Krista Hedstrom confirmed the connection Tuesday and said detectives did not disclose the relationship earlier.
     
The State Patrol says Martin A. Jones arrived on the scene early Saturday as Trooper Scott Johnson was processing the car for towing and shot him in the back of the head.
     
The 45-year-old Seaview man was arrested Monday and is making an initial court appearance Tuesday in South Bend on possible assault and attempted murder charges.
     
Johnson was released Monday from a Portland hospital and still has bullet fragments in his head.

    NEW YORK (AP) - In an op-ed, Salma Hayek says that her refusals of Harvey Weinstein's advances led to a nightmare experience making the 2002 Frida Kahlo biopic "Frida."   The New York Times on Wednesday published Hayek's account in which she writes that Weinstein was for years "my monster." The actress said that Weinstein would turn up at her door "at all hours of the night, hotel after hotel, location after location."
