Two people transported to the Hospital after SUV rollover

SPOKANE, Wash. - Two people were taken to the hospital after witnesses say the SUV they were riding in was struck by a car and rolled several times Tuesday night.  The collision happened at W. 2nd Ave and S. Walnut St. around 8:15.

Police say a Black SUV heading northbound on Walnut St., ran a red light at the intersection and was struck by a car heading westbound on 2nd Ave.  The force of the impact caused the SUV to roll and land on the passenger side of the vehicle.

Witnesses immediately helped pull two people out of the SUV before police or rescue crews could arrive.  The two people in the SUV were transported to a local hospital with minor injuries.  No one inside the other vehicle involved in the collision was injured.

Police say drugs or alcohol were not involved in the collision, and there is no word on if anyone will be cited.
