SPOKANE, Wash. - Police are investigating after several parked vehicles were struck early Sunday  morning near the Gonzaga University campus and Mission Park area.

Police say overnight a dark grey Jeep Cherokee struck at least six parked vehicles, possibly more, near the GU campus.  The suspect vehicle also drove through Mission Park damaging the landscape and struck trees near N. Division Street.

Sunday morning an officer located part of the jeep's bumper and license plate at the scene of one of the collisions.

Police located what they believe to be the suspect vehicle at a home in the 1220 block of E. Joseph Ave. in north Spokane.  Police obtained a warrant and seized the suspect vehicle Sunday afternoon.  The Spokane Police Hit-and-Run unit is expected to examine the vehicle on Monday.

No one has been taken into custody, but police say they have a person of interest.

    SACRAMENTO, Calif. (AP) - Sacramento police have arrested a married 58-year-old man in connection with at least 10 rapes across Northern California between 1991 and 2006. Sacramento police say they arrested Roy Charles Waller of Benicia on Thursday in the NorCal Rapist case. He was arrested at the University of California in Berkeley, where he worked as a safety specialist in the office of environment, health and safety.
