One dead after collision in Stevens County

STEVENS COUNTY, Wash. - The Washington State patrol is investigating a two vehicle collision on Hwy. 25 one mile south of Kettle Falls.  The crash sent 25 year-old Dustin Eldred to the hospital wherehe later died.

The collision happened at 4:10 Sunday afternoon.  Stevens County Sheriffs and Stevens County Fire also responded to the scene of the Collision.

At 4:39 Sunday the Washington State Patrol reported that one person had been killed in the collision.  At 5:02 WSP advised the subject previously reported as a confirmed fatality was alive and en route to the hospital with CPR in progress.  An update by WSP at 5:41 stated Mt. Carmel Hospital in Colville advised the subject, Eldred, had died.

The roadway was partially blocked for about an hour, but has been fully reopened. The collision remains under investigation. The driver of the car Eldred was in 20 year-old Kayla Lickford was also injured and taken to Mt. Carmel Hospital.

    SPOKANE, Wash. - Spokane Police say officers found the body of a teenage boy in the Hangman Valley area early Wednesday morning. Officer Ben Green would not give an exact location where the body was found, but did say family reported the boy missing earlier in the day. Officers would not officially identify the young man, but according to The Spokesman Review, who cited SPD, it appears he committed suicide.
