Suspect arrested after robbing pharmacy, leaving cash

COEUR D'ALENE, Idaho. - A 39-year-old man who police say demanded a controlled drug from a local pharmacy and then threw some cash on the counter to pay for it has been arrested.

The Kootenai County Sheriff's Department says Egan Barred Logan IV went to the prescription counter at a Hayden-area Walgreens Monday night and asked the pharmacist for a drug.

Lt. Stu Miller says that when Logan was told he needed a prescription, the man told the pharmacist he was robbing her.

The Spokesman Review reports that once she gave him the drug, Miller says the robber put some money on the counter and then left the store.

Tuesday, Kootenai County authorities met Logan at the Rathdrum Police Department where he admitted to robbing the pharmacy.

He has been charged with robbery and possession of a controlled substance. He is scheduled to appear in court Wednesday at 2 p.m.
