Get ready; awesome weather on the way!

SPOKANE, Wash. - The great news is that by Friday we'll have fair skies and temperatures will reach a perfect 70 degrees. There's just one more soggy day to get through. Today's spring showers are rotating around a storm parked over western Montana.

The snowing and blowing is covering the entire northwest quadrant of that state right up to the Clearwater Mountains along the Idaho border.  HWY-12 Lolo pass is still reporting light snow. I-90 Lookout Pass has rain. Washington passes are reporting rain, except HWY-20 Sherman pass in the Okanogan Highlands at 5600' is still reporting light snow.

Plan on occasional, light, sprinkling-type showers that will taper off overnight as the storm finally exits.  Rain and snow will continue over the mountains for the next few days.  However, as for us lower elevation dwellers, we can enjoy partly sunny and warming weather Wednesday through  Friday.

The weekend is a different story.  Saturday should be cloudy and breezy as you watch the kids' soccer games. Sunday should be showery for the Spokane Women's Week Walk for Breast Cancer Awareness, but at least it will be warm!
