Bloomsday Express Shuttle Returns

SPOKANE, Wash. - The popular Bloomsday sticker pass returns this year.  The 2010 Bloomsday sticker pass cost $1.25 and can be purchased while registering online. The pass is good all day on the entire system, including the express shuttles. Those without stickers will pay regular STA adult fare each way. Participants place the stickers on a designated spot on their race number.

Spokane Transit will also be at the Bloomsday Trade Show selling stickers on Friday, April 30th and Saturday, May 1st.

Tickets will not be sold on race day.

Participants are advised to arrive at shuttle lots or bus stops two hours prior to their race start time. Morning pick-up times are 6:30 a.m. - 8:30 a.m. Return trips are 10:30 a.m.-2 p.m.

Express Lots  Riders will be dropped off downtown on 1st Ave., between Post and Stevens.

• Northtown Mall Board on Lidgerwood near Wellesley.

• Ferris High School 37th and Regal. Board on North side of school.

• Spokane Valley Mall Board on Indiana near the Red Robin and Winger's restaurants.

• Cheney, EWU Red Barn Board at 820 Washington St. in Cheney.

    SPOKANE, Wash. - Spokane Police say officers found the body of a teenage boy in the Hangman Valley area early Wednesday morning. Officer Ben Green would not give an exact location where the body was found, but did say family reported the boy missing earlier in the day. Officers would not officially identify the young man, but according to The Spokesman Review, who cited SPD, it appears he committed suicide.

It’ll be two weeks this Friday since Bennett last saw his daughter.
