Man arrested after pointing shotgun at pedestrians

COEUR D' ALENE, Idaho - A man is in custody of Coeur d' Alene police after allegedly aiming a shotgun at a group of pedestrians.

An officer made a traffic stop of a wrong way driver in the 300 block of N 3rd St. around 2:30 Saturday afternoon. As he did, a group of people came running up and told him the subjects in the car he stopped had a shotgun.

Officers conducted an investigation and determined the subjects in the vehicle including Jason Fennimore, a 22 year old male from Alaska, were talking on the sidewalk when another group of people, including two victims, walked past.

Fennimore and the people he was with said something to the victim group making them stop.  At that time, Fennimore opened the trunk of the vehicle and pulled out a double barreled twelve gauge shotgun and pointed it at the victims.

Officers located the shotgun in the trunk of the vehicle.  No one was injured.  Fennimore was arrested and booked into the Kootenai PSB for aggravated assault.
