T.O. to Seattle?
SEATTLE, Wash. - According to NFL.com's Steve Wyche the Seattle Seahawks are one of several teams making preliminary phone calls to free-agent wide receiver Terrell Owens. Wyche's source is saying that calls have been coming at different points in the off-season. However, with the Seahawks drafting Notre Dame wide receiver Golden Tate in the second round of this year's NFL draft, it is possible they already filled the gap in that position.
Owens, 36, ranks third on the NFL's all-time list in receiving yards (14,951) and touchdowns (144), and he's sixth in catches (1,006). He started his career with the San Francisco 49ers (1996-2003), then played for the Philadelphia Eagles (2004-05) and Dallas Cowboys (2006-08) before joining the Buffalo Bills last season.
