Shortcut Drivers Cause Concern; Bill McGinty Reports

SPOKANE, Wash. - Are the streets dangerous in Spokane, Washington? Lori Wesolowski says her street is very dangerous because of drivers taking shortcuts.

The problem is westbound drivers wanting to avoid the red light at Francis and Wall who take a quick left on to Stevens. Stevens is a quiet residential street where Lori says kids often play and ride their bikes. Lately, Lori says he cat was killed by a rogue driver and her son's bike was run over by a driver who didn't even stop.

The neighbors are in support of speed bumps or any other traffic device that will tell drivers to slow down and plan to document the problem on video to show the city there is a real problem and danger.
