Tiger Cub Visits KHQ - Spokane, North Idaho News & Weather KHQ.com

SPOKANE, Wash. – Cat Tales Zoological Park welcomed a new addition to its family.  Baby Amura is a 6-week old tiger.  A zoo in California asked the folks at Cat Tales to breed their tigers because the zoo wanted two babies. 

The female tiger gave birth to three cubs.  The California zoo took two of them, leaving Amura here in Spokane.  The workers at Cat Tales bottle feed Amura and work in shifts to care for her.  Because she is alone, without her mother or siblings, Cat Tales is looking for a dog to be her companion.  They would prefer a larger breed, like a Newfoundland.
