Officer, Deputy Punched in Beaverton
BEAVERTON, Wash. (AP) - Police say a man resisting arrest punched a Beaverton officer and a Washington County deputy before he was stunned with a Taser and subdued.
Police jailed the 28-year-old on possible charges of assault, disorderly conduct and conducting arrest.
He had been walking the wrong way in the middle of a traffic lane about 7 p.m. Thursday when the officer tried to stop him and he ran.
He later said he didn't talk with the officers because he didn't feel they had a reason to stop him. The officers were treated at a hospital.
