House Party Turns Violent: Woman Slashed, Car Smashed

SPOKANE, Wash.- Spokane police are investigating how a house party became violent, resulting in a slashed woman and a car beaten with a baseball bat and golf club. It happened Thursday morning just after 2:00 in the 1800 block of North Normandie.

Police say the responded to a call about a fight and possible shots fired. As they were responding to that call, another officer was pulling a car over that was speeding and driving erratically. It turns out that car contained the woman, driving herself to the hospital, with a slashed thigh. After the officer learned she was injured, the officer escorted her to the nearest hospital.

A brief interview showed she was injured in that house party on North Normandie. Police also learned that the reports of gunshots were actually someone breaking out that woman's window with a baseball bat. The woman told police two white suspects took a baseball bat to her rear passenger window and a golf club to her car's roof.

The woman and other witnesses couldn't tell officers how she got her thigh slashed. Right now she's in stable condition. There haven't been any arrests so far and police say an investigation into the crime is ongoing. They ask anyone with any information about this incident to call Crime Check: 509-456-2233.
