Soccer Player Receives Death Threats

JOHANNESBURG, South Africa - The Nigerian team has asked its government to provide security for midfielder Sani Kaita after his red card during a World Cup loss to Greece prompted more than 1,000 death threats.

Nigeria team spokesman Idah Peterside said Kaita has received the death threats via e-mail from Nigeria ever since he was sent off for kicking out at Greece's Vassilis Torosidis in the 33rd minute of Thursday's 2-1 loss at Bloemfontein.

Nigeria Sports Minister Ibrahim Bio is staying in the team's hotel in South Africa and has been alerted to the threats, Peterside said.

Spokane cat is probably bigger than your dog

KHQ.COM - An average house cat weighs between 7-10 pounds but one Spokane woman has a cat whose size is almost unheard of. Out of the corner of your eye, Ollie might be mistaken for a dog... he's that big! Not your normal house cat, Ollie is a Savannah cat, a hybrid breed that's a cross between a serval cat and a domestic cat. So while it's not surprising that he's bigger than a domestic cat, his size is still shocking.
