First on KHQ.Com: Man Hit By Truck in North Spokane

SPOKANE, Wash.- A Spokane man suffered minor injuries Thursday morning when he was hit by a car in north Spokane. It happened just after 6:00 a.m. Thursday at Division and Magnesium, near the north Spokane Home Depot.

Spokane Police at the scene were still investigating the incident, but they said initial reports were that the driver of a beige pickup truck was taking a left turn at Division and Magnesium. He was turning into sunlight, and the sun blocked his vision. The pedestrian was crossing the street there, and the driver didn't see him crossing. That driver then hit the pedestrian, causing what initially looked to be a serious head injury.

By about 7:00 a.m. Thursday, the pedestrian was up walking around and was able to talk to police. The pickup driver was not injured.

It's not clear who had the right of way, and police are still working to determine if there will be any charges or citations in this crash.
