This Just In: Steele Faces Additional Charges

COEUR D'ALENE, Idaho (AP) - A former lawyer for the Aryan Nations has been indicted on three additional federal charges in an alleged murder-for-hire plot.

The new charges against 64-year-old Edgar J. Steele include tampering with a victim, use of explosive material to commit a felony and possession of a destructive device in relation to a
crime of violence. Federal documents filed Tuesday say the charges carry a maximum penalty of 10 to 30 years in prison.

Steele already faced a possible 10 years in prison for an alleged plot to kill his wife, Cynthia Steele, and her mother.
