First on KHQ.Com: Dinner Scare at McDonald's In East Spokane; Suspect Still At Large

SPOKANE, Wash. - An evening dinner quickly turned into a slight scare for patrons in a Spokane McDonalds. Authorities say a man walked into the McDonalds on 15 South Havana Street and Sprague Avenue just after 5 p.m. Thursday and attempted to rob the restaurant. According to Corporal Marty Pannell, the man said he had a gun and demanded cash. They say an employee told the man he couldn't open the till, and when a manager shouted he called 911 the man left without cash.

Authorities say no one in the restaurant noticed a weapon with the man or was injured. They say he left on foot, jumping a fence and running toward the Loma Vista Apartments. He is described as white, in his late 30's or 40's, six feet tall and 250 pounds. He was last seen wearing a camouflage baseball cap, a tan button-up shirt over a white tee shirt, and blue jeans.  He also wore sunglasses and had his brown hair cut short.
