KHQ Weather Authority: Thunderstorms In The Forecast: Track LIVE Radar

SPOKANE, Wash.- Tuesday night showers and thunderstorms will creep further northward impacting Spokane, the North East Mountains and the Northern Idaho Panhandle.
 
We're keeping the possibility for pop up showers & thunderstorms in the forecast right on through the weekend. Temperatures will remain HOT through out the week in the 90's for the first half of the week, cooling a bit to the upper 80's as we head into the weekend.

    SPOKANE, Wash.- There's just something about this time of year that brings out the best in so many. One 12-year-old boy was the recent recipient of a random act of kindness. He's hopeful what happened to him will inspire others to help out strangers as well. Kai Richerson told KHQ he would do just about anything to see his mom smile.

    EDINBURG, Texas - Hundreds of donations have flooded into a Texas elementary school after a teacher posted a 7-year-old's letter to Santa Claus on Social media Wednesday. Ruth Espiricueta taught her students the difference between wants and needs and then asked them to write a letter to Santa with two wants and one need.

    SPOKANE, Wash. - Police were called to a North Central Spokane neighborhood Saturday afternoon to investigate a report of a woman going from mailbox to mailbox in the area, taking mail from some of them.  Police responded to the 700 block of W. Knox, and found a 32-year-old woman identified as Sarha Hollowell, walking about a block away.
