First on KHQ.Com: Sparkler Bomb Found Near Trent and Evergreen

SPOKANE, Wash. - KHQ has confirmed through the Spokane County Bomb Squad that a sparkler bomb was located near The Rock Bar at the intersection of Trent and Evergreen. Authorities tell KHQ that the sparklers were duct taped together and the bundle was about eight inches long and two inches in diameter. The Bomb Squad was able to locate the bundle with their robot and safely detonate it. A spokesman for the bomb squad told KHQ that if the bomb had gone off, it could have easily killed anyone who was near the explosion.

SPOKANE, Wash. - Washington State Patrol and the Spokane County Sheriff Bomb Squad responded to a potential pipe bomb in Spokane Valley Monday afternoon. It happened around 4 pm when a suspicious object was reported near The Rock Bar at the intersection of Trent and Evergreen. The Bomb Squad arrived shortly after and deployed their robot. After locating the device, the Bomb Squad took it away. Investigation is still ongoing as authorities try to determine exactly what the device was.
