BASE Jumper Stuck In Trees High On Mount Baring

BARING, Wash. - A BASE jumper is dangling thousands of feet above ground, stuck in trees high on Mount Baring in the Snoqualmie National Forest, officials said. Lt. John Flood with the Snohomish County Sheriff's Office said the victim called 911 at 9 p.m. saying he was doing a memorial base jump in honor of a woman who died while BASE jumping last Sunday. The 45-year-old man told dispatchers he became stuck in some debris at about 200 feet into the jump off a cliff.

Mia Suchoski called the deer “Bucky” while her neighbors Donna and Doug Smeltzer called it “Baby.”
