A North Idaho (Hayden) manufacturing company, who has the leading edge in the surge suppression industry, is recruiting for a SENIOR LOGISTICS ANALYST who will have the overall responsibility for the direction and guidance of logistics functions for the Protection Technology Group.  Direct functional responsibilities will include logistics, shipping, and receiving with the objective of increasing efficiency and quality to maximize throughput for profitable growth.   Will develop a comprehensive transportation strategy to meet the objectives of the business, identify and select appropriate transportation companies, negotiate rates, contracts, and service level agreements to meet location requirements for timely delivery of product to both internal and external customers, manage relations with carriers and brokers to support both inbound and outbound transportation needs, make specific recommendations for development of internal logistics procedures and routing guide (transportation policies, procedures, and programs, including NAFTA).  Will lead process improvement activities to streamline business practices and work processes for continuous improvement.  And supervise assigned employees including staff selection, training, performance reviews, rewarding and disciplining employees, addressing complaints and resolving problems. Some business travel required.
