Another Hot Day In Washington

SEATTLE (AP) -  After a third straight day of 90-degree temperatures in the Puget Sound area, the National Weather Service says the heat will start easing a bit on Tuesday.

An excessive heat warning for highs in the 90s remains in effect until 10 p.m. Monday for the area that includes Seattle, Tacoma, Everett and Bremerton. A heat advisory is in effect to 10 p.m. for
the southwest interior.

Forecasters say highs Tuesday will be in the 80s in Western Washington with clouds spreading inland from the coast.

In Eastern Washington, forecasters say highs will remain in the 90s through Thursday. A fire weather watch is in effect until Tuesday evening for the east slopes of the Cascades.

Spokane Police Officers and Major Crimes Unit (MCU) Detectives responded to the scene for the investigation around 9:30 a.m.

    COEUR D'ALENE, Idaho - Idaho State Police say a 68-year-old man has died after leaving the roadway on Highway 95 south of Coeur d'Alene early Saturday morning. Investigators say the crash happened just before 1:30 a.m. A blue 2005 Chevrolet Silverado truck driven by Frank M. Reeves of Otis Orchards was headed north on Highway 95 when he left the roadway for an unknown reason.
