Registered Sex Offender And Inmate Walks Away From Kootenai County Jail

COEUR D'ALENE, Idaho- The Kootenai County Sheriff's Office is reporting an inmate who was on a scheduled one-day furlough did not return to jail Thursday night.

32-year-old Ferrell D. Arnold, who is a registered sex offender, is at large right now. And an arrest warrant has been issued for him.

Ferrell was released by order of the court on his own recognizance for a 24-hour furlough. He was supposed to return last Thursday night at 7:00, but he never showed up. Ferrell is described as white male, about 5'11", 212 pounds, with hazel eyes and he's bald.

He was in jail on forgery and grand theft charges and was going to be sentenced on the 15th of October. If you have any information about Ferrell, you're asked to call the Kootenai County sheriff's office at 208-446-1300.

    A home was significantly damaged after a fire Saturday night. The Spokane Fire Department responded to the fire on the corner of N Cincinnati St. and E Carlisle Ave. Crews worked to make sure all occupants had been evacuated from the building before attempting to extinguish the fire at the front of the home.
