Former Mill Site in Yakima Up For Sale

YAKIMA, Wash. - The former Boise Cascade property north of downtown Yakima has been listed for $29 million, and some are worried about plans for its future. The city has pinned its economic future on the old mill site, which sits on 211 acres along Interstate 82.

News of the property listing prompted some business and city leaders to call the property owners seeking assurances that the development project was still on track. A representative for the property ownership group told the Yakima Herald-Republic that the owners are going to work with the city to complete the initial phase of the project, including developing a site plan.

SPOKANE, Wash. - It's been an incredibly difficult couple of months for Kaley Hilderbrand and her family. "We're in the middle of moving from an apartment to a house," Hilderbrand said.  It's not something the mom of a brand new baby girl though she would be doing. Back in April, the soon-to-be-married mother of three was living in a north Spokane apartment complex when she received an angry letter about doing laundry at night.
