Spokane Gang Homicide Suspect Captured In Southern California

OFFICIAL PRESS RELEASE: On 09/09/10, a fugitive wanted in connection with shooting death of John S. Williams on N. Crestline St. in Spokane has been captured. Edward L. "T.D." Thomas, 25 years old, from Spokane, was wanted for several outstanding arrest warrants, including a warrant for 1st Degree Murder. 
 
The homicide occurred on January 17, 2010. Williams was executed in an alley in the 5400 block of North Crestline St. following a fight at a nearby party. The fight involved two rival gangs with an ongoing history of violence toward one another. 
 
Thomas was captured in Compton, California, by the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Office, Compton Station, Fugitive Squad. Spokane Police Detectives, and members of the Spokane Violent Crime Gang Enforcement Team have been in frequent contact with law enforcement agencies in Southern California, as many of the suspects were known to have ties to the South Central Los Angeles area.
 
 
The Spokane Violent Crime Gang Enforcement Team consists of Officers from the Spokane Police Department, Spokane County Sheriff's Office, Washington State Patrol, Department of Corrections, US Border Patrol, ATF, and the FBI.

    POST FALLS, Idaho - The Kootenai County Sheriff's Office says a 40-year-old Post Falls man is in critical condition after falling off his inner tube on the Spokane River Saturday evening.  Deputies responded to the Corbin Park area for a report of a possible drowning at around 6:00 p.m. Witnesses say the man had fallen off his inner tube and not resurfaced.

    LIBERTY LAKE, Wash. - Update: Washington State Patrol has identified those involved in a four-vehicle crash on I-90 Saturday afternoon. Troopers say a driver was following too close and rear-ended one car, which caused a chain reaction collision. One driver was injured and taken to Sacred Heart hospital in Spokane, but his injuries were not considered life threatening.
