UPDATE: Coeur d Alene Woman Search For Missing Parrot
COEUR d'ALENE, Idaho (AP) - A Coeur d'Alene woman has spent the past month searching high and low mostly high for an escaped African grey parrot.
The Coeur d'Alene Press reports Crystal Partenselder has been searching since Aug. 5 for her son's parrot, Tuii.
She says area residents have been helpful and frequent reports of sightings have kept her hopes up that she'll be able to capture the 2-year-old bird. She even saw the bird on Thursday, but was unable to catch it.
Tuii appears to be staying within a mile of the house, but has proven elusive. And hunger isn't a problem, thanks to back yard bird feeders.
She says she's offering a reward for the bird that can bark like their dog, calls her son Nathan by name and bobs his head while
singing "Who Let the Dogs Out?"
