COEUR d ALENE, Idaho - Two former athletes at Coeur d'Alene high school are being remembered as friends and former classmates after a crash in southern Idaho killed the two this weekend.

Devon Austin and Ryan Reinhardt were killed in a crash near Twin Falls, Idaho when a car Reinhardt was driving failed to make a turn on a road Sunday morning. The cause of the crash remains under investigation.

Jessica Duran was injured in the crash but is expected to make a full recover, according to the Twin Falls County Sheriff's Office.

Austin is the 2010 Idaho Gatorade baseball player of the year. He was drafted by the Chicago Cubs in the 45th round of this year's draft. Austin was attending College of Southern Idaho to improve his draft status, according to his friends.

"You could always count on him in pressure situations or when we needed the big hit or someone to come in and pitch when we really needed it," said Jake Pereira, a former teammate.

Ryan Reinhardt was a football player at Coeur d'Alene high school and friend of Austin's.  His family helped move Reinhardt to College of Southern Idaho in late August and said they will always remember his smile.

Students and former teammates of the athletes built a memorial at home plate of the baseball field at Coeur d'Alene high school.

A candlelight vigil is scheduled for 8 o'clock on Monday night to honor and remember the former students at Coeur d'Alene high school.
